KōkuaLocal is free to use. This does not mean the helper's work is free; helpers set their own bid amounts for each job.

KōkuaLocal marketplace

Marketplace terms

This page is a factual summary of the current marketplace flow: who posts jobs, who submits bids, and how participants confirm completion.

Marketplace scope

The marketplace is for small, limited-scope, non-licensed work. Residents use it to post jobs that fit that current product scope.

Resident and helper roles

Residents post jobs, and local helpers browse open listings and submit bids.

Helpers can browse open jobs at the jobs page.

Bidding

Helpers submit bids for open jobs. Residents review the available bids and choose one. An accepted bid starts the coordination state for the job.

Completion confirmation

After the work, the accepted helper submits a completion signal. The resident then selects Confirm completion.

The job is marked completed only when both participants have confirmed. If only one participant confirms, the job remains accepted and indicates whose confirmation is still pending.
